Malas de Viagem... #2

After reading yesterday's post went to look for old suitcases weren't you?!
If you weren't because you weren´t very convinced, just look at these ideas! Our little friends love it!!

I bought an old suitcase this weekend to make Susie a table. If only she had a dog, I would make her one of these. Maybe I'll just get her a puppy too!       dog bed from old suitcase

Alguém viu a primavera?

Estou tramada!! Até para o banho as quer levar!!  :D

The spring equinox, ie the astronomical phenomenon which begins spring, is tomorrow! OK?! Tomorrow! But it seems that someone forgot to inform the little mans that live in the clouds and control the weather! Just going out to have the feeling that winter is starting and not spring!
Enough cold and rain! Enough of knitwear, cardigans, jumpers and boots! Enough of three layers of clothing and coat and umbrella!
Already I need to feel the warmth of the sun, walks along the beach and esplanade!  Ligth and colorful clothing! Sandals, flipflops and even barefoot! Catching a tan! (and who knows me knows that I need, I'm white as a papersheet!)
Today I woke up with a spring appetite and look what I receive!
To compensate my son could not be happier! Because as it is raining he can wear his beloved wellies! My son simply go bananas with wellies!
Why? I have no idea!
For you to realize the level of adoration he asks to wear them practically every day! And last week we had to wear them for a nap! It's true! Is there more comfortable shoes to wear at home?! To sleep even more comfy!   :S
And do not think it's one of those models very cute because they are not! The wellies are gray with some blue stripes (as he is still very small that was what I could find). Just imagine how it will be next year if I buy one pair like those!
He would even taken them to the bath! : D

Feliz Dia do Pai!!

For all the fathers, but mainly to MY FATHER and my son's father!!

Deolinda

Os Deolinda estão de volta!!

Deolinda are back!!

E as pegas rijas a magoarem as mãos!! UI!!

Today is unthinkable to travel without a trolley. The wheels and the handler, very practical to move . without requiring much effort. But not much time ago the suitcases had no wheels and we had to use our muscules to load the bags. And the old handles hurt our hands!
But what to do now with these old suitcases, lost in lofts gathering dust?! Here are some pretty funny ideas!

Here at home we're going to start a whole new adventure. We'll climb another step on the development evolution! Have you guessed what is coming, right?!
Yes, yesterday we bought a potty!
I must say that the first approach is going very well. Let me explain that the first approach is the recognition, he needs to realize, more or less, what is the potty purpose before we put it into action! My son already knows that the potty is to sit on, points at him and says "pee pee", he is so smart! Of course it also serves to store pencils, crayons and some clamp clothes! Basically it is a multifunction potty!
I had thought to try it today after lunch, but I wasn't quick enough! He finished his lunch first and that belly waits for no one! I have to eat quickly is what it is!
But do not worry I'll tell you how things goes! ;))

Before & After #8

After a week dedicated to my son, was almost obligatory to show this transformation of an old dresser ... in a boy's bedroom dresser!
This work is authored by Sarah! She has a business restoring and customizing furniture in Troy, NY and shows to the world her work through the FunCycled blog (http://funcycled.com).

I'm back!!

Fiu, fiu, fiu... deixa-me cá assobiar e olhar para o lado!

So you thought I had given up on my blog? Not Yet!As you know last week I went to Qatar with my husband, but what maybe you don't know is that we went without our crib! Yes, it was the first time I was away from him and I must say it wasn't easy! It were NINE WHOLE days without him! It was a very, very, very long time! This was the number one lesson I learned:- Being two or three days without him I can handle it more than that is Chinese torture with extremely high degree of unimaginable repercussions! And we anticipated  two days the return! Yes because it was either that or I had to come already turned on to the machine, and my husband was informed that to make a trip this size, with one stop, and life support machines is stupidly expensive, so he opted to anticipate the return! !Of course this week I have been completely dedicated to my child! And with that I'll tell you what was the lesson number two:- When my son was with his grandparents, I was always wondering if he would be doing tantrums, and if he ate everything, basically I was worried if he was behaving well with grandparents! What nobody told me was that I should also be concerned if the grandparents behaved well! I explain! In the first two days of returning home, my son was ... how to say ... semi-wild!Since kicking the furniture and on the couch, grab stuff and throw it to the ground, trying to tantrums for everything and anything... he was a flower! With thorns!I just imagine ... for a week your excellence put his grandparents at his will! I can even picture it! "Let me give this so he would not cry, let me do this to him so he doesn't tantrum, let the boy eat crackers at dinner time because he likes it so much"! And so on .... and so on ...Of course my little hooligan soon realized the whole scheme and so came home thinking he would do tha same here with the same results! Of course that was not what happened! It was so bad that my husband sayed that grandparents destroyed in one week the education we gave him in two years! So it took a week of intensive mother, to redefine rules, to reestablish our connection, our routines and especially to give much love to each other!Of course I also needed time to restore vital functions! When I landed  ihad the heart the size of a pea, a knot in my stomach, dry mouth and an excessively rapid heartbeat. And no, it wasn't food poisoning, were just me missing my son so very much! And that was why I still hadn't even turned on the computer! And now that I have have discovered 191 mails to read! Maybe I'll pretend that I saw nothing! Fiu, fiu, fiu ...  let me whistle and look the other way!
